Instacart is usually fine for me, but their customer support can be a little inconsistent. I had a missing item in my order and, it took longer than it should’ve to hear back. They did end up fixing it, so I’ll give them that, but it kind of felt like I had to wait around for something that should’ve been handled quicker.

Overall, I like using the service and it’s convenient when I don’t feel like going out. The ordering process is usually easy and the deliveries have been fine for me. That said, the delivery fees and extra charges really start to add up, sometimes to the point where it doesn’t feel worth it. Good experience overall, but the fees are definitely a downside

Instacart was fine overall, and I was going to say everything went smoothly, but the temperature stuff could definitely be better. A couple of my frozen items showed up a little soft. They weren’t ruined or anything, just not as cold as I expected them to be

The app is straightforward and placing orders was easy, which I appreciated. I did notice some unauthorized charges on my account, though. Support eventually got it sorted out, so that was good, but it was still kind of annoying to deal with.

I was surprised how accurate Instacart was this time. My shopper only had to swap out one item, and everything else matched what I picked in the app. Small win for me because I actually got all the stuff I needed for dinner without having to rethink the whole plan. It definitely makes grocery ordering feel a lot less frustrating when the inventory is pretty much right

"Pretty much followed my delivery note"
I asked the shopper to leave the bags by the side door and not ring the bell because my baby was sleeping, and they actually did that, which I really appreciated. One of the bags was maybe a little close to the steps, but it wasn’t a big deal. Overall, it went smoothly and made the order easy.

"Mostly right, but a couple things went sideways"
My order was mostly fine. Like, most of the stuff I needed showed up correctly. But then I noticed the yogurt was the wrong one, and the bananas just weren’t there at all. Not the end of the world, I guess, but I was already trying to figure out dinner and it threw things off a bit. The refund process was easy, which I appreciated. Still kind of annoying in the moment

The delivery itself was quick, which I appreciated, but a couple of items were missing again. It’s frustrating because then I have to wait around for a fix or replacement, and it kind of takes away from the convenience.

I’ve been getting really fed up with the Instacart app lately. I’ll be in the middle of adding groceries and it freezes, logs me out, or just wipes out my cart like my time doesn’t matter.
The search is bad too. I’ll type in something totally normal and get random results, or it shows me items that aren’t even available at my store, which feels misleading and kind of careless.
Checkout is the worst part. It’s slow, cluttered with popups, and the buttons seem to shift around right when you’re trying to finish. I’m just trying to buy groceries, and it feels wrong that an app this big makes the basic process such a hassle

I’ve used Instacart enough now that I’ve started noticing the pattern with substitutions: most shoppers do a solid job picking something close, and if it’s not obvious, they’ll usually message me first. Every once in a while I’ll get a slightly odd swap, like the wrong flavor or a version I wouldn’t have picked, but it hasn’t been a big deal overall. My only real complaint is that I wish the app made it easier to set backup choices ahead of time so there’s less guessing involved.

I had to cancel my order, it got sorted out faster than I expected. The refund came through quick, and support was fine to deal with. Nothing amazing, but they helped and I did not have to chase them much.

"Pretty good produce most of the time"
I’ve been using Instacart mostly for regular grocery stuff, especially when I don’t feel like dealing with the parking lot at my usual store, and the produce has been solid. I’d say about 8 out of 10 times everything shows up fresh. Apples, lettuce, and berries usually look good and aren’t smashed, bruised, or like they’ve been sitting in the back of the store forever.
There was one order where the avocados were basically rocks, and a couple tomatoes were softer than I would’ve picked myself, but it wasn’t a big enough issue to ruin the order. Overall, it saves me a lot of time, and considering someone else is picking everything out for me while I’m probably at home doing laundry or forgetting I started coffee, the quality has been better than I expected.

I’m not totally sure when it got this bad, but the fees just seem way too high now. It feels like they’ve gone up more than they should have, it’s kind of hard to justify.

I’ve used this a few times now, and the tips always feel fair to me. The shoppers have been good about staying in touch and letting me know what’s going on, which I really appreciate.
